With over 500 respondents from the local business community, the first in our quarterly business confidence survey series for the Sunshine Coast was an outstanding success. A big THANK YOU to those of you who participated!
By way of background, we launched an anonymous business confidence survey in April through the media, and via email. If you wish to be part of future surveys, please sign up here.
The survey design and distribution was conducted in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, various Chambers of Commerce across the Coast, AEC Group Ltd, and MANY others business groups.
The 5 online survey questions were designed to gauge general business confidence in the region. The questions were in a simple multiple-choice format, and allowed for anonymity.
In summary, the results were optimistic about the future of business on the Coast! The full report, including the breakdown in responses in graph format, can be downloaded here.

We are trying hard to get greater representation from across the Coast, and across ANZIC codes. Interestingly, when we looked at the data from the Northern region and compared it to the Southern region, we found that the ANZIC code percentages were very similar. However we are working on getting some more agribusiness and manufacturing representation, and of course other sectors. Any additional ideas and offers of support are more than welcome!
