Thank you to all who participated in our first Sunshine Coast wide quarterly survey in April. It seems like only yesterday that we launched our survey and were overwhelmed with your support.
This June survey is very similar - so that we can benchmark results over time – however we have one new initiative. And that is, each quarter we will focus on a particular sector or region and work in partnership with them to create a survey question to meet their needs.
The first sector is the tourism industry. The various tourism bodies got together and created a question that will help understand confidence levels for the upcoming Christmas period.
So head on directly to our survey to have your say here
For further information about our survey series, see the blogs below and also take a look at our latest email alert outlining the survey process.
If you have any ideas on which sector, industry, region or issue we should focus on for our September quarter survey, we would love to hear from you, so add your comments below.
Also, a big thank you to the following, as we could not have implemented this project if it wasn’t for the kind support of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council; Sunshine Coast Tourism, Discover Maroochy, Tourism Noosa, Caloundra Tourism, AEC Group Ltd, The Caloundra, Cooroy, Coolum, Eumundi, Kawana Waters, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Nambour, Noosa, Peregian Beach and Yandina Chambers of Commerce and Business associations; Sunshine Coast Enterprises; Sunshine Coast Daily; Noosa Journal; Noosa News; Queensland Dept of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation; ACC (Regional Development Australia); Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network; Eumundi Markets; Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre; Urban Development Institute of Australia; PunkLogic; Callister Lawrence Media and Communications and many others.

I would also like to see "Forward to friend" within the newsletter, so I can invite business associates and friends to join the survey.
How do we advise the tourist that we are not always flooded etc.
I do post on my website for instance that cyclone Larry was as far from Noosa as Melbourne is from Noosa. Could we all do that or can someone suggest anything that may give the tourist comfort about coming here and not needing a raft. Open to options and feedback please.
